Hello friends eager to learn about some of the great scientists an their great works in their respective fields.
Let's start-

Basics:
Born: 30 August ,1871
Died: 19 October ,1937
Nationality: New Zealander (U.K)
Discoveries: Alpha beta radioactivity, Rutherford model of atom, Discovery of protons etc.

After knowing basics about him and observing his contribution in the field of science we got that he was actually a great scientist. Now let us know about his biography.

His father's  was Jemes Rutherford ,a farmer and his mother was Martha Thompson . She  was a school teacher. Rutherford was originally from England but later his father migrated to New Zealand. He studied in Havelock School and later in Nelson College .

He was a good student in his childhood an he maintained it through his life. He was the student of the J.J Thompson ,the discoveror of electron. Later on he discovered a Alpha beta radioactivity (half life) .Then he made the Rutherford modal of atom which overcomed the previous limitations and his project is remembered as the base of today's science . He also discovered the proton for such a remarkable achievement he got a Nobel prize in chemistry in 1907. He never stopped after his success he walked on till his death in 19 October 1937.
